I think I may need some help, this is my first time doing a starter. I started out with a whole grain rye flower, that actually seemed closer to an outmeal consistency than a dough when mixed with water. After the first 24hours it more than doubled in size, but it doesn't really seam to be bubbling (not that I'm watching it) just rapidly rising. Today after the first feeding and less than 6 hours it was overflowing out of my jar. Also basically from day 1 it's smelled kinda or acrid, almost like the smell of a rotting fruit. I don't know if I should press forward with reduced feedings and just hope it mellows out or trash it and start over.
