I got my starter to look like your photo after feeding for a week. But 12 hours after the final feeding, it now looks like it did on day two. Any idea why? And I believe I have to keep feeding it every 12 hours until it looks right again. Is that correct? Also, what do your recipes need when they call for feed vs unfeed starter? All of what I've poured out has been feed at one point.
