Hi there fellow baker, if your cherries are dried but moist, you might want to try soaking them in Kirsch or another liquor that you think would pair well with cherries before using them to make a filling. (Soak for 24 hours and then drain, reserving the liquid for another use, like soaking the cake!) Sweeten the filling to taste, knowing that a slightly tart filling tends to complement the cake and frosting nicely. Happy baking! Kye@KAF
