June 24, 2017 Loved the comments! Mine is of a visit I made to the NW in 1982 when my German friend, Inge~ surprised me with this awesome cake: She soaked the cherries in Kirschwasser and was going to toss the liquid out...I asked her for a shot glass: VOILA! What a cake! Question: I have a fresh bag of moist but dried cherries. Could I use them instead of the jarred cherries? Auf Weidersehen! LKT
