Thanks, MaryJane! I'm so excited to try this! I've made many a so-so cake (and a decent number of cakes that were flat out bad). Your recipes are always so spot-on, so I'm optimistic that I can actually do this and have people enjoy it. And I LOVE the story. I even read it aloud to my mom (who laughed with me about the purple hair, probably remember the outlandish things I tried in my not-too-distant childhood). This is what blogs should be. Keep it up! I have every faith in you for a great cake Mia. If you have the enthusiasm for life that the purple haired are born with, you'll be baking up a storm in no time.
