Many years ago a rogue pumpkin vine sprouted in my yard and produced a ton of pumpkins. Hating to waist them, I decided to make pumpkin purée and volunteered to make the pumpkin pies that year for our Thanksgiving dinner. Talk about a big hit! Everyone wanted to know what was different about my pumpkin pies. We’ve had fresh pumpkin pie ever since. I grow my pumpkins so that we are sure to have it. Yes you can definitely tell a difference.
