I'm going to make this for Thanksgiving dessert this year and I was wondering how it would be if you put the apples on top of the sauce in the pan? Just seems it would be more unifom that way.. Can this be made in a cast iron pan? I just feel a little nostalgic with this and love my upsiders in the cast iron...
