This is such a delicious recipe! I also substitute pears and plums for the apples with equally wonderful results. I make a caramel sauce to serve atop the cake of: 1 c heavy cream, 1/4 c white sugar. Cook on medium heat till thickened and caramel colored. Yum! Thanks for the recipe!
