I just tried this last night. My caramel was much thinner than what I see on the pictures, but it was still very tasty. My apples were smaller so I used a round of apple slices around the outside since the slices around the centre left a rather large part uncovered. In the metric recipe the weight is not given for the brown sugar in the cake part, it says 1 cup. The metric measurement for the brown sugar in this recipe is 159 grams. ~Amy
