Fascinating recipe - I plan to make it tomorrow. One question, though - Is it possible to double the crust recipe and make a traditional 2-crust pie this way, using the paper bag? I'm going to start with the streusel topping this time, but was wondering for future pies....Thanks for your help. Yes indeed, Myra; you'll probably want to take the pie out of the oven at about 50 minutes, and cut a big hole in the top so the top crust will brown; return to the oven until the top crust is brown.
