I'm considering making petit fours for my granddaughter's bridal shower. I tried a recipe for a baby shower that I was not happy with so have been looking for a new one and found your blog. Have you ever tried, or would it be worth trying, to make the cake recipe in two pans so that you have thin layers and can avoid cutting them in half - I prefer halves to thirds? Or is there a reason NOT to do this? Thanks!
