PJ... I can't wait to try your method. I had the EXACT grandma experience. Her cooking and baking drives me today. I hope that I can recapture those sweet memories. I also struggled with pies. My mother in-law's pies were always gorgeous and I had a hard time. Recently I believe I am starting to master them. I believe we are kindred souls.
