We imagine that your work smells like a dream on the apple pie days, Annie! We'd recommend adding some additional thickener. Our Pie Filling Thickeners Guide gives this handy tip: "Frozen fruit releases more juice than fresh. When baking pie with frozen fruit or berries, increase the thickener by 1/4 teaspoon per cup of fruit or berries." This tip can be applied whether you're using homemade filling or store bought. If you're using storebought, we'd recommend stirring the extra thickener with either a few drops of water or some of the liquid from the filling first. Once that's a smooth mixture you can add it to the bulk of the filling with all of the fruit. Mixing it with some liquid ahead of time will prevent it from clumping up and allow for it to be incorporated evenly. We hope this helps! Annabelle@KAF
