Shouldn't there be some sugar in there? Crumpets are a touch sweet. Sorry, Justin, I never had a sweet crumpet, nor saw a crumpet recipe with sugar - far as I know, the sweetness comes from anything you put on them - like pancakes with syrup. But certainly add a bit of sugar if you like - PJH
