Oh be still my heart! Crumpets were just about the best part of living in England for 3 years...and that's saying something. Is there any way these could be made as successfully with whole wheat pastry flour?? Just so I don't feel quite as guilty slathering them with a whole mess 'o butter, you understand. ;-) I think that would work. Try it and let us know. Mary @ KAF
